The meaning behind the name!
I started Recreate the Cliché soon after going through a couple setbacks and drastic changes in my life. I had no job, little money to my name, no more family connections, and I just simply wasn’t happy in life. But even though I had lost a lot of the things that I thought were important to me, losing them helped me to realize that I actually wasn’t truly happy when I had them all either.
I was the theoretical Andy Dufresne, crawling through a bunch of shit and coming out clean on the other side. My journey may not have been as epic as the Shawshank Redemption protagonist, but in the way that he did, I had to go through some shit in order to finally open my eyes to the life in front of me.
The name Recreate the Cliché means exactly this:
we go through our lives so caught up in the day-to-day routines of it all that we simply forget to live. Life becomes a cliché, something that has lost meaning due to the procedural and familiarity of it all. I made this blog as a challenge, not just to others but to myself as well, to redefine our lives and rediscover the beauty in the everyday life.
SO STOP SIMPLY GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS OF YOUR LIFE!
FIND THE BEAUTY IN THE LITTLE THINGS!
REEVALUATE YOUR DAILY ROUTINE AND OUTLOOK ON WHAT IT IS YOU TRULY WANT IN LIFE!
This blog is here to challenge you, to make you think, to help you to find the beauty in this life.
I hope you join me in your journey throughout your twenties, because this is the time to redefine & rediscover yourself, and RTC wants to be here to help you do it!
